Don Leger’s freelanced branch line has been serving Eastern Ontario and parts of Western Quebec since the early 90’s. When CN and CP left the area, the S & N took over carrying tons of freight to clients on both sides of the Ottawa River . Major commodities carried by the Railroad include newsprint, MDF, linerboard, forest products, pulp, gas, lumber & board, wire rod, billets & scrap. When CP abandoned Walkley yards in 1989, The S & N took over, and it’s never been busier.
About Me
Don is a retired Radio Broadcaster. For nearly 30 years, Don was morning News Voice on Ottawa Radio Stations, CFRA and CFMO. During this time, the stations were number 1 and 2 in the Eastern Ontario area. Don retired in the early nineties devoting leisure times on the Golf course and Model Railroading. He is a member of the Friday Night Group and the NMRA.
